Psychology’s Case Studies in Hong Kong

Psychology’s Case Studies in Hong Kong

Project Leader: Michelle YIK
School: School of Humanities & Social Science
Department: Social Science (SOSC)
Project Start Year: 2021/22
Description:

To fully immerse the students in the personality theories courses in Hong Kong, we wish to develop cases to illustrate theoretical concepts using relatable real-life examples in Hong Kong. The cases should demonstrate theoretical concepts in local context. To this end, we propose a case writing project to generate cases for use in the courses we deliver at HKUST (e.g., SOSC1980 Psychology of Personal Growth, SOSC2980 Personality Psychology, MASS5090 Understanding Personality, MGCS5880 Growing Up the Chinese Way). The case studies will be flexibly suited for both class demonstration purposes and assignments for assessment purpose.
